Meeting & Convention Services

Always known for its hospitality and beautiful scenery, Kentucky is also gaining a reputation as a place for conventions, trades shows, and corporate and association meetings.

With the majority of U.S. residents within a day's drive, the Bluegrass State is a convenient location for any gathering. Visitors can fly directly into the Louisville International Airport, Bluegrass Airport in Lexington, or the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati International Airport. Smaller community and regional airports also offer access to less traveled areas of the Commonwealth.

In Frankfort, conventions can easily be held at the Farnham Dudgeon Civic Center, located in the heart of Kentucky's state capitol. Hotel accommodations are quite ample throughout the area.

Lexington's historic downtown, specifically the Lexington Center, offers plenty of space for any convention's needs. A variety of after-hours recreational opportunities, ranging from museums to clubs, can be found in an area known for its low crime rate. Within the greater Lexington area, other attractions include horse racing and several historical landmarks. Visitors can eat their fill of Kentucky's famous barbecue or enjoy a meal at a five-star restaurant.

Louisville is no stranger to conventions, as this city frequently hosts conventions of all kinds at both the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center and the Commonwealth Convention Center. With the Louisville International Airport and several hotels and restaurants within a couple miles, the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center is ideal for any convention. Not coincidentally, the Kentucky State Fair is held there annually.

If it is a high-tech convention center you're looking for, then Somerset, located in the southern part of the state, is the perfect place. The recently constructed Center for Rural Development, a high-tech 100,426 square foot convention center, is equipped with all the latest technological advances including video conferencing.

No matter what type or size of facility you need, Kentucky is open to a number of possibilities.
