Medicine & Healthcare

Kentucky offers its residents a variety of health care providers and facilities that deliver not only quality care, but also choices.

Today, people are more informed than ever before about the alternative medical treatments available. Patients coming to Kentucky have the opportunity to make informed choices about the treatment they want to receive as well as where they want to be treated.

One of Kentucky's most prominent and perhaps under-appreciated features is the vital role the state plays in providing its citizens with a myriad of health care options. A wide range of medical facilities provide diverse treatments for Kentuckians from throughout the state, especially from eastern Kentucky, north to Ashland and west to Springfield, regularly drawing patients from more than 70 counties.

The Baptist Healthcare System has hospitals located throughout the Commonweatlth, specifically in Louisville, Paducah, La Grange, Elizabethtown, Lexington and Corbin. Likewise, Alliant Health Systems is comprised of eight facilities that are managed by Norton Healthcare. This is just a sampling of the facilities available in Kentucky.

Whether you prefer a small hospital with specialized care or a larger hospital with renowned specialists, Kentucky offers you a comprehensive range of options.
