Kentucky Technology

In today's high-tech, computer-friendly world, "technology-based business," like "corporate change," has become a redundant phrase. The software and hardware as well as the systems and their subsequent peripherals have become intrinsic parts of how any company works, how its people think, and how it ultimately makes its profit.

Companies such as Lexmark International Group, which is a Fortune 500 company specializing in printers, are finding Kentucky to be a welcome home to their technological advances.

Kentucky's commitment to technological advances is further demonstrated by he Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation¾a private, nonprofit organization committed to the advancement of science, technology and innovative economic development in Kentucky. Governed by a Board of Directors comprised of leaders from business, education and government, KSTC is a fast-paced leader with a reputation for developing and managing creative initiatives in education, economic competitiveness and scientific research.

Savvy business people in Kentucky are looking past the bells and whistles and evaluating systems and processes throughout their organizations. Computer expertise has therefore flourished in the information systems niche, where killer apps, a client company's mission and rewarding work converge.
