In the complex world of the 21st century, the services of the legal profession have become nearly indispensable. As a result, the number of law firms and attorneys throughout the Commonwealth has seen steady growth over the past 20 years. As of last year, there were approximately 14,000 attorneys registered with the Kentucky Bar Association. In contrast, there were only 8,500 in 1983.
