Midway College, an independent liberal arts college, offers baccalaureate degrees in 14 disciplines: bachelor of arts in biology, business administration, early childhood education, English, equine studies, liberal studies, paralegal studies, psychology, organizational management and teacher education; bachelor of science in nursing, biology, environmental science and equine science. Associates degrees in nine disciplines are offered through the traditional day programs and the School for Career Development, an accelerated evening program for working men and women.
Murray State University is a tax-supported university composed of six colleges. Located in the quiet college town of Murray (pop. 15,000), Murray State has an approximate enrollment of 8,600 with a faculty that numbers 350. Although Murray is removed from metropolitan crowds, the community enjoys a moderate climate, excellent healthcare, a safe environment, low housing costs and taxes, a relaxing atmosphere and accessibility to a variety of recreational facilities and cultural events. In addition, Murray States athletic program has treated fans to numerous Ohio Valley Conference championships in recent years. For the fall semester, tuition for an in-state resident is $2,400.
Established in 1968, Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is a metropolitan university that is located seven miles south of Cincinnati on a modern 300-acre main campus. With an enrollment of 12,000 and a faculty staff numbering 1,200 (82 percent of whom hold the highest degree in their field), NKU is committed to access with the opportunity to succeed. NKU offers 50 undergraduate degree programs; graduate programs in business, education, nursing, public administration and technology; a law degree and a joint JD/MBA degree. And with an average class size of 23, students receive the individual attention they need to get the most out of their college experience. Tuition for Kentucky residents is $2,100 per academic year ($6,140 for out-of-state residents). Residential living adds an extra dimension to the NKU experience.
Spalding University Founded in 1814, Spalding University is a Catholic, independent coeducational, liberal arts institution. With a current enrollment of 1,580 students, Spalding offers 30 undergraduate programs and seven graduate programs. Internships, community service and field experiences complement classroom studies and give students a competitive edge. Spaldings ever-expanding selection of local, national and international internships, as well as exchange programs, allow students to gain college credit while acquiring real-world experience to make connections that will prove invaluable as they develop their careers. Tuition for a full-time student, regardless of residence, is currently $5,450.
